Toomelah Public School has an enrolment of approximately 60 students across K-6, all of whom are Aboriginal. The school is situated in the heart of the Toomelah Aboriginal Community which is located on the QLD/NSW border, alonside the Macintyre River.
The school's motto is 'Proud of Our School and Culture'. We strive to promote high expectations, empowerment and a sense of pride and achievement in all our students. To achieve this, school activities have an emphasis on fostering strong home, school and community partnerships, providing quality teaching and learning and promoting a vibrant, energetic and positive school culture.
Toomelah Public School takes a leading role in maintaining the local Indigenous culture and is working hard to promote a philosophy where being 'strong and smart' is valued, respected and encouraged.
